Academic Standards Committee Form

Before submitting any forms, please discuss any requests, changes, or petitions with the appropriate faculty member. Once submitted, the form will be routed to the necessary faculty for completion. Ensure that all information provided is accurate.

You should receive an email confirmation upon submission of your form. If you do not receive this within 24 hours, please contact our office.

A separate confirmation email will be sent once a decision has been made on your form.

Use

This form is used to petition the Academic Standards Committee (ASC). The Academic Standards Committee helps to ensure Kalamazoo College upholds the academic policies and procedures of the College as set forth in College catalogs and other college documents.

Please speak with your advisor before filling out this form.

Please tell the committee why you feel an exception should be made for your situation; why were you unable to comply with the college policy or procedure?

Additional Information

We appreciate your correspondence with the Academic Standards Committee at Kalamazoo College.

The Committee will convene on Tuesdays during the Spring 2025 term to review petitions submitted by 3 PM on the preceding Monday.

Petitions without advisor approval will be considered however, we HIGHLY recommended speaking with your advisor BEFORE submitting the petition.
